Also there's no excuse not to start Cross Stitching outdoors, if haven't got anything to carry your current CS work in? My brown paper bag is all you need, so when you buy one of my kits you are good to go!! they fit lovely and flat in your bag and keep everything safe. Write, mark and date your work on the bag as you go along and have fun outdoors and once you finished with your design if you don't want to keep the bag maybe make it into a little Origami figure?
